The two talk about how the monkey came to have his powers. As they talk they both realize that neither one of them really has a plan for what to do with themselves. The monkey decides that he will use his powers to fight crime and help people, and Sarah agrees. They agree to become friends and help each other out in whatever way they can. Sarah will help monkey with transportation to crime scenes and making any equipment that he may need. The monkey will help with chores and housework while Sarah is at work at the Town Engineering Corporation. Together these two just might be able to save the world.
Somewhere on the other side of Town, in a small, college laboratory, student researchers are studying the effects of a new “smart drug.” This new drug would help those who have learning disabilities. The drug would help to increase their learning curve and may eventually permanently help them. The current tests are being performed on various primates. The test for today is on an orangutan known as LD-317.
“Okay students, the test results from last week place today’s subject in the fifty-percentile range. The dose he was given was 50mg. We’re going to boost that up to 100mg today and administer the tests. Don’t let your minds say that he has improved, let the test data do that.”
The “smart drug” has been fashioned into a drink so that it will be easier to administer to the test subjects. One of the students gives the orangutan the serum. Within five minutes of administration, the orangutan is observed as being more aware of his surroundings. The first test is that of placing shapes that the primates should be familiar with into the proper holes. The previous week LD-317 scored average on this test, and this week he is nearly flying through the test. Next one of the students places a simple jig-saw puzzle in front of LD-317, this the same puzzle that he had had trouble with the week before. The primate manages to solve the puzzle with only minor difficulty this time, when he unexpectedly stops. Our primate holds the last piece of the puzzle in his hand and examines it rather closely. He looks to the students watching over him: “You are all a bunch of low lives. You’ve been pumping me and the other primates full of drugs. Well I’ve had enough!”
The students are at a complete loss for words. When they do come to their senses, half of them freak and run screaming out of the laboratory. The professor looks at the primate and asks him when he came to the realization the he was a test subject. LD- 317answers telling the professor that it just happened today while he was completing the tasks that the students gave him. After answering this question, the orangutan comes to a second realization.
“Why the hell am I talking to an asshole like you? Let me out of this cage!”
“I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to do that. There’s a lot we can learn from each other.”
“Bull! Let me out!”
“No.”
“Fine. Orangetastic Punch!”
This punch delivered by the orangutan nearly breaks the cage door from its hinges. The orangutan leaps out of his cage and proceeds to give the professor the beating of his life, while continually reminding him of just how demented he is for torturing the primates that he and his students have locked up in the lab. After beating the professor, our orangutan releases all of the test subjects that are locked up in the lab; then escapes the building and heads for the nearby houses to lose anyone that may be on his tail.
“Well now; now that I’m free as a bird, what am I to do? I could become the world animal rights activist, or I could just instruct humans on the error of their ways. Mmmm… I know what I’ll do; I’ll just take over the world. And I’ll start by taking over this town. I need some of that serum that those students had to make more like me, can’t be evil without minions.”
The orangutan heads back to the lab that he had just escaped to retrieve some of the smart serum. When our orangutan arrives at the lab, police have already surrounded the scene. As he tries to think of a way to get through the police, the thought passes through his mind of a massive explosion; the police begin to chatter and scurry about shouting about where the explosion came from. Our orangutan realizes that he somehow created this sound and promises to explore the possibilities at a later time. The orangutan enters the laboratory building, and makes his way to the labs. There are still three police officers remaining in the lab, but he decides to enter anyway. The officers see him immediately and begin to talk to him as anyone may talk to a wild primate. Our orangutan opts to play along long enough to bring them in so he can take them out. As soon as they are within six feet he attacks.
“Citrus Kick!”
This attack sends the first of his victims flying across the room. Next he follows with yet another Citrus Kick to a second officer; then retrieves the downed officer’s pistol and points it at the remaining officer. This officer runs out of the lab to get backup. Our orangutan locates and secures several samples of the serum in different dosages. With his mission complete he makes for the back door and his exit.
Now that the orangutan has formulated his plan; first he will release the primates at the local zoo. Then using the recovered serum he will turn them into his minions. For added help in areas that that he will not be able to accomplish his goals he will pull some losers off the street. This will complete the first stage. The second stage will be to disarm the police and brainwash them in to becoming his minion army, then oust the mayor and declare his rule over the area. With his plan set he sets off to find his front men.
“Well hello there my dear fellow, how would you like to help me take over the world?”
“Who are you?”
“Ah, drunk, just the way I like ‘em. My name is…… My name is irrelevant at the moment, just answer the question, do you or do you not want to help me take over the world?”
“Sure why not. It’s not every day a monkey asks you help him rule the world.”
“I’m not a monkey, monkeys have tails, but at any rate welcome.”
The orangutan finds in total twenty willing souls that are able to set aside the fact that their new master is an orangutan, and commit to his goal of world domination. The first task they need to accomplish is securing the funds to finance their endeavors. They begin to make plans to rob the National Town Bank.
“Okay Jim, here’s the plan; you act like I attacked you in your car, causing you to lose control and crash through the bank. Then you just stand there unmovable by the events of me stealing the money from the vault. The cops should let you go, if not then when I take the station I’ll set you free, I won’t forget about my troops like other super villains.”
The plan is followed to the letter. There is only one oversight made by our orangutan, how to open the safe. Amusing himself he lifts a hand to use The Force to open the door. To his surprise he actually uses psychokinesis to open the door. He secures the money totaling only $50,000. He then leaves through the rather large hole in the banks front window and leaves the scene in an escape car that is waiting in a nearby alleyway. The cops interrogate the man found at the scene of the crime and after finding no conclusive evidence, they set him free. A similar plan is used several more time securing a grand total of over $450,000. Orangutan pays his minions for their role. The time for their assault on the local zoo is nearing it full readiness.
